Product Description

Product Introduction

4237 is a two-component, alkylamine‑cured epoxy thick‑film coating that, upon curing, forms a coating with excellent mechanical strength. It is recommended for use as an anti-corrosion under‑insulation coating.

Application areas
This product is typically used for corrosion protection of carbon steel surfaces beneath thermal insulation in new construction, maintenance, and repair applications (CUI). It can achieve a high film thickness in a single coat, delivering long‑term corrosion resistance. The paint contains needle‑shaped functional fillers that significantly enhance crack‑resistance. This product offers a broad service temperature range, with a maximum temperature rating of 275°C.

Note: If the maximum recoat interval is exceeded, the coated surface must be sanded to create a roughened texture before applying the subsequent coat.

Paint film thickness/dilution

Non‑recommended film thicknesses may be used depending on the application and area; this will affect the coverage rate as well as drying time and recoat intervals. The standard dry film thickness per coat is 75–200 microns.
