Product Description
Product Introduction
High-Solid Epoxy Thick-Plaster Paint 3217 is a high-solids, multi‑purpose epoxy thick‑plaster coating cured with a polyamide adduct. It forms a tough, durable film, exhibits excellent wetting properties, and can be cured at low temperatures.
Application areas
It can be used as a self‑priming, surface‑tolerant paint system, or as an intermediate or topcoat in systems requiring low VOCs and high film‑forming properties; it may also serve as a low‑surface‑preparation primer to enhance the adhesion and toughness of the entire coating.

Construction conditions
New steel: blast-cleaned to Sa2.5 grade, with a surface roughness of Medium (G) (ISO 8503-2).
Steel coated with shop primer: Apply light blast cleaning or grind rusted areas to St3 grade using an elastic abrasive wheel.
Welding, flame cutting, or thermal straightening of burned areas: Remove weld slag and spatter, grind the surface smooth, then use an elastic abrasive wheel to achieve a St3 surface finish.
The substrate temperature must be at least 3°C above the dew point, and the ambient relative humidity must be below 85%.
Use this product only under conditions where application and curing can proceed normally at temperatures above –10°C; the application surface must be clean and dry.

Paint film thickness
Non‑recommended film thicknesses may be used depending on the application and area; this will alter the coverage rate and affect drying time and recoat intervals. The standard dry film thickness per coat is 75–200 microns.
