Outstanding physical and chemical properties: Chlorinated polypropylene is a non-toxic solid, either white or yellow in color, with high hardness, excellent abrasion resistance, acid resistance, saltwater resistance, and aging resistance. Its melting point typically ranges from 80 to 160°C, and its decomposition temperature falls between 70 and 160°C. These characteristics enable it to perform exceptionally well in a wide variety of environments.
Advantages of Chlorinated Polypropylene (CPP)
1. Excellent physical and chemical properties: Chlorinated polypropylene is a non-toxic white or yellow solid with high hardness, wear resistance, acid resistance, saltwater resistance, and aging resistance. Its melting point typically ranges from 80 to 160°C, and its decomposition temperature falls between 70 and 160°C. These characteristics enable it to perform exceptionally well in a wide variety of environments.
2. Wide range of applications:
Inks and Coatings: Chlorinated polypropylene is a key raw material used in the formulation of composite inks for BOPP films. It exhibits excellent gel-forming properties and high gloss, making it suitable for a wide variety of printing inks—particularly those used for laminating materials such as double-layer PP films, PP films-paper composites, and PP films-aluminum composites.
3. Adhesive: It exhibits excellent adhesion to materials such as polypropylene, polyethylene, paper, and lead film, making it widely used in various adhesives—including those for bonding BOPP films and paper.
4. Flame Retardants: Due to the presence of chlorine atoms on the molecular chains of chlorinated polypropylene, it finds some applications in flame retardants as well.
5. Environmental Protection and Safety: Chlorinated polypropylene is non-toxic, chemically stable, and classified as a non-hazardous material. It can be stored at room temperature and kept dry.
6. Cost-effectiveness: During the production and application of chlorinated polypropylene, its excellent performance and wide range of applications can significantly reduce production costs and enhance production efficiency.
