Chlorinated polypropylene is a thermoplastic resin obtained by chlorinating and modifying polypropylene. It appears as a white, amorphous solid, a white or pale yellow powder, or yellow or pale yellow granules. Chlorinated polypropylene is non-toxic and soluble in solvents such as halogenated hydrocarbons and toluene. Depending on the chlorine content, its melting point typically ranges from 80 to 160°C, while its decomposition temperature falls between 70 and 160°C. Products with low chlorine content begin to decompose slowly above 40°C, and at temperatures exceeding 70°C, the decomposition rate becomes extremely rapid. It finds wide application in the coatings (especially composite inks) and adhesives industries.
Chlorinated ether resin is synthesized using a continuous demulsification process via emulsion polymerization. The polymerization conversion rate can reach over 99%, and after polymerization, the residual monomer content in the system is minimal. During production, a special technique is employed to induce demulsification and particle formation, thereby reducing the amount of adhesives and impurities adhering to the resin. This ensures high purity and whiteness of the finished resin, as well as excellent flowability, ease of dissolution, resistance to abrasion, water resistance, and alkali resistance.
